‘Half-caste’ (1937)

Cedric Dover’s (1904-1961) polemic called Half-Caste was published in London in 1937, celebrating ‘the richness of hybrid potentiality’. Dover was born of an English father and Indian mother and took up residence in London in 1934. He used his scientific knowledge to help dispel eugenicist myths about mixed-race lineage through lecturing across Europe and in a number of publications and books.
