The eugenicists did not have it all their own way. Powerful voices of reason and scientific credibility began to provide a very different perspective. We Europeans by Julian Huxley, AC Haddon, and AM Carr-Saunders, published in London in 1935, stated that we are all of mixed ancestry and argued that the term ethnic groups should replace race based on a denial of the latter.
