White Teeth is a 2000 novel by the British author Zadie Smith. Focusing on the later lives and families of two wartime friends in London —the Bangladeshi Samad Iqbal and the Englishman Archie Jones - the novel was lauded for its depiction of modern mixed race people and families.
A four-part television adaptation of the novel was made and broadcast on Channel 4 in 2002.
